World Press Photo Foundation becomes new co-operation partner

In the last weeks, the World Press Photo Foundation and the festival team have exchanged their first ideas for a pleasant and productive collaboration. The World Press Photo Foundation, based in Amsterdam, is a major force in developing and promoting visual journalism. Through one of the most prestigious awards in photojournalism and multimedia storytelling, an exhibition seen by more than three and a half million people worldwide each year, and extensive research and training programs, it inspires, engages, educates, and supports both visual journalists and their global audience with fresh insights and new perspectives.

Staff from the World Press Photo Foundation will participate in the free portfolio reviews offered to photo students and young professionals at the festival. The World Press Photo Foundation will also present the work of their renowned Joop Swart Masterclass to Hanover and international photo students, and will invite former masterclass participants to talk about their experiences during the international meeting of photo schools. More details to follow.
